Z were determined to be at the centre of the solution to greenhouse gas emissions and that led them to bio-fuel: turning tallow - a meat industry by-product - into a substitute for conventional diesel.
Our role was finding the right property. Location was critical: the site had to be appropriately zoned, close to transport links to streamline raw materials delivery and close to the Wiri oil terminal for finished product distribution. The site had to be large enough for the building, with generous yard space for a tank farm and vehicles. The building had to accommodate the plant, with room for expansion, but be suitable for future tenants as well, beyond the term of the lease.
By understanding Z’s requirements, by being patient, and by working cooperatively and openly, we’ve achieved a win-win outcome: Z have the right industrial property for their needs and PFI have a long-term, blue-chip tenant.
